Violetta Berisha kryetarja e Bashkisë Fairview, New Jersey vizitoi Vatrën

New York, 18 Nëntor 2023 – Violetta Berisha kryetarja e Bashkisë Fairview, Bergen County në New Jersey zhvilloi një vizitë të përzemërt në Federatën Pan-Shqiptare të Amerikës VATRA me rastin e marrjes së detyrës së saj. Gjatë vizitës zonja Berisha shoqërohej nga kryetari i Bergen County z. Paul Juliano, zonja Rita Juliano e stafi i saj. Kryetarja Violetta Berisha u prit nga delegacioni i zyrtar i Vatrës i përbërë nga sekretari Dr. Pashko Camaj, anëtari i Kryesisë së Vatrës z.Bashkim Musabelliu, anëtari i Këshillit të Vatrës Paulin Mrnaçaj dhe veprimtari i çështjes kombëtare z.Anton Raja. Në fjalën e mirëseardhjes Dr.Camaj ndër të tjera e përgëzoi për suksesin e arritur, i ofroi bashkëpunim e Vatrës e vatranëve dhe shprehu krenari për një arritje historike të një shqiptareje që bën krenar çdo bashkombas në Shtetet e Bashkuara të Amerikës e trojet etnike.

Para të pranishmëve, në fjalën e saj në gjuhën angleze zonja Violetta Berisha u shpreh: “I am very proud to be an Albanian and extremely excited to start my term as not only the first female mayor of Fairview, but one of the few Albanian mayors in the U.S. Like all of us here, I came from very humble beginnings. My father, from Puke and my mother, from Malesia both made the choice to give their family a better life and immigrate to America. Even though they were far from their homeland, they instilled all the values and ideals of Albanian life to me, my two sisters, and my brother. They showed us the value of family and keeping traditions alive. Their countless hours of working and commuting showed us the value of hard work no matter what the job was. By doing this, they set us up for success and it is one of the main reasons why I am standing here today .

I have served previously on my town’s council for seven years, but I feel I have only scratched the surface of politics, especially compared to the long history of the Vatra. This organisation has dedicated itself to protecting the rights of Albanians and Albanian Americans and helping our community. I’m very proud to see Albanians working together for a better purpose and see us carry our patriotism from generation to generation. I’m extremely honored and would like to thank you so much for having me here” tha kryetarja Berisha. Në përfundim të ceremonisë Vatra shtroi një koktej për të gjithë të pranishmit.
